David Dalton

David Dalton has worked for the San Francisco Examiner and the San Francisco Chronicle. His connection with science fiction dates back to 1983, when he started the Science Fiction Writers Network. His entire professional life was spent in publishing, but he is a student of history, a musician, and a photographer. He has now retreated to a small farm in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where he also is involved in environmental activism and local politics. Though Dalton will continue to write fiction, his forthcoming memoir will involve 40 years of gay history, for which he had a front-row seat and lived a life that brought him into intimate contact with some of the most important gay writers and thinkers of the last 40 years.
