Krysti Brice

关于作者

Krysti Brice began her career as a CPA at the New York office of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells after graduating from New York University. As a manager at Deloitte, she transferred to the firm’s Prague office in 1992, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall and Prague’s Velvet Revolution, where her work at Deloitte placed her as an adviser to the Czech Ministry of Privatization. After two years in Prague, Krysti joined the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank, and was based initially in the Prague office where she did project finance for privatized companies in the Czech and Slovak Republics. In 1997, the Bank moved her to its headquarters in Washington, DC, where she continued to cover the Czech and Slovak Republics, as well as other countries in the Central and Eastern European region, advising on infrastructure privatizations and healthcare for a joint World Bank-IFC department. Her work at the Bank also took her to projects in Africa and Central Asia. After several years in Washington, the Bank returned her to Prague in the year 2000 to continue to cover the region. In 2003, she retired from the world of finance and pursued some of her passions: art, architecture, history, psychology and writing. She studied art history at the Anglo-American University in Prague, and she now works as an author, mentor and guide to the city, providing customized “concierge” private tours of Prague.
