When I was 20 years old I read The Autobiography of Malcolm X. In it, he describes how he educated himself during his stint in prison. In an effort to improve his atrocious penmanship and vocabulary he hand-copied and studied an entire dictionary. That inspired me to crack open a dictionary and that's when my life took a different course. I fell in love with words and their origins. Then I discovered that if I turned the more difficult words into pictures, I could remember them a lot more easily. Now I turn words into pictures for fun. So far I've published five books full of them and several more are on the way. I hope you enjoy Werdnerd's Visualize Your Vocabulary series.
