BYRON CRAFT believes in building interesting characters and strong stories that are complete in each book he writes. Any of his books can be read individually, or you can enjoy the character development by reading them in sequence. He started out writing screenplays, moved on to authoring articles for several magazines and finally evolved his writing style into exciting, Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror novels. Byron has completed his four book Mythos Project Series that reflects the influence of H.P Lovecraft. Byron Craft's first novel "The CRY of CTHULHU," initially released under the title "The Alchemist's Notebook," was the reincarnation and expansion of one of his most memorable screenplays. In his second novel in the series, “SHOGGOTH” he continues with all the ingredients of a classic Lovecraft tale, with some imaginative additions. In “SHOGGOTH 2: RISE OF THE ELDERS” Craft revives some of his most endearing characters and ties them together on an adventure to save humankind from atrocities they are blissfully unaware. Book four, "R'LYEH: THE LOST REALM," brings all the most loved characters together to breach the dimensional barrier to R'Lyeh, Cthulhu's prison world, to prevent the invasion of the malevolent primordial god and its hordes, and save the free world. The Arkham Detective series started from an idea that just wouldn’t leave Craft's imagination. The first four novella's, eventually combined into a collection, were so popular that Craft can't stop writing them! Book 5, "Death on the Arkham Express," Book 6, "Who Stole the Necronomicon?" and finally Book 7, "Arkham After Dark," continue to follow the Detective down pathways no one else wants to go. The detective series watches the evolution of one very different detective that investigates things that “go bump in the night.” Set in the 1930’s, the hard-boiled detective’s career takes an interesting twist when “normal” flies out the window. . The first release in the ARKHAM DETECTIVE series was “Cthulhu's Minions,” a novelette that provides a fun, quick read, and a chance to get the feel of how Byron Craft spins his tales. Following "Cthulhu's Minions" was “The Innsmouth Look,” which finds the detective investigating a murder and the kidnapping of a small child, taking him to Innsmouth by the sea, the frightful creatures that lurk there, and what they plan to call up from the depths. The third installment in the series is "The Devil Came to Arkham." This exciting novella follows the Arkham Detective as he attempts to discover the source of a deadly epidemic from an unnatural origin. The fourth in the first collection is "Dunwich Dungeon" where a seven-foot tall man in black has caused the Detective's good friend to go missing; a woman is brutally murdered in a museum, and mysterious artifacts lead us on a trail to inter-dimensional horrors. Books five, six and seven see the Detective "motivated" to transition into retirement and then becoming a private investigator. Craft demonstrates he is as capable a novelist as a scriptwriter. Craft's writings have all the ingredients of classic Lovecraft tales, with his own unique spin, making reading anywhere from scary to intriguing to fun.
