Scott Tracy Griffin is a writer and actor, and a pop culture historian and consultant. He is the author of "Tarzan: The Centennial Celebration" (Titan Books, 2012), the only authorized illustrated history of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ immortal literary character, and a 2013 Locus Award finalist for Best Art Book. His second book, "Tarzan on Film" (Titan Books, 2016) covers the history of the ape-man film franchise's 52 authorized films and 7 television series. Griffin’s career highlights include working as an editorial contributor to film industry magazines, scripting the UFS "Tarzan" Sunday comic strip in 1996, and serving as a consultant and on-camera expert for numerous documentaries and news programs. Griffin was born in Starkville, Mississippi, USA, and is a graduate of Millsaps College. He is a resident of Southern California.
