Award-winning scholar, cultural historian, and independent curator Jake Milgram Wien is the author of "Paul Landacre: California Hills, Hollywood & The World Beyond. A Catalogue Raisonne," which is scheduled for publication in early February 2025. For the Peabody Essex Museum in 2015-2016, Wien co-curated "American Epics: Thomas Hart Benton and Hollywood" which traveled to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Amon Carter Museum of American Art, and Milwaukee Art Museum. For its major summer show in 2005, the Portland Museum of Art, Maine, invited Wien to guest curate "Rockwell Kent: The Mythic and the Modern." For the Montclair Museum of Art in 1995-1996, Wien curated the traveling exhibition "The Vanishing American Frontier," featuring the revisionist historical lithographs Bernarda Bryson Shahn created for the Resettlement Administration of FDR.
