Kathy Jay writes uplifting books, with a dash of spice, about love, friends, families and belonging. Her novels feature kind, independent, strong women falling for the one man they can't live without. To win her female characters' hearts, her fictional guys have to have rock solid integrity and swoonworthy credentials.

Kathy lives in a village close to Cambridge. She met her own romantic hero - quite some time ago! - during freshers' week at university and is happily hitched.

Most of the time she writes at her untidy desk, supervised by Mabel the cake thief, a mischievous small dog who forces her to go outside for walks on a regular basis. If not for Mabel, she would probably spend her entire day over-invested in fictional worlds. Millie, an elderly cat she got from an ice cream farm as a kitten, also kindly keeps Kathy company when she's writing.
