Amos Clarke is passionate about music and writing.
He has been working as a recording and mix engineer, songwriter and producer for well over 10 years. He has also written a number of books on music production and non-fiction writing techniques.
He has worked extensively in live sound and as a bass player and vocalist in working bands that have gigged around the world. He is passionate about producing, recording and mixing music and many of his projects involve international collaboration work. Amos currently writes and performs in his two-piece indie pop (bass and drums) band, 'Premium Comfort Shoes' and have international releases.
He published his first book, 'Macro-Mixing for the Small Recording Studio', in 2014. This was quickly followed by '56 Mix Tips for the Small Recording Studio' and 'Non-fiction Writing Essentials - A Writer's Toolkit'. His most current release is 'Song Arrangement for the Small Recording Studio', published in January 2016.
Amos currently holds an academic position at Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand where he's been lecturing at a tertiary level for over 18 years. He holds a Diploma in Audio Engineering from SAE, a Graduate Diploma in Higher Education, and a Diploma in Architectural Technology.
Amos currently runs sHOWpONY, a boutique recording and production studio in Auckland, New Zealand.
