Shaelynn Long

Shaelynn Long (1983-) was born in a small town in rural Michigan. Though she always loved to read, her imagination went into overdrive once her family moved to a new house on a dirt road. Though much of the "big" events of her childhood are narrated in her debut creative nonfiction, Dirt Road Kid, there were many other instances that sparked ideas for her writings in creative nonfiction, fiction, and YA. Shaelynn still resides in Michigan and still loves a small town.
