By profession I am an embedded systems engineer with over 30 years of experience in electronics, embedded systems and software, aerospace systems, and scientific applications programming. Over the years I've also been an educator, essayist, and graphic artist. When I'm not writing or working I like to do cabinetry and furniture design, build microcontroller-based gadgets, go on field trips to interesting and unusual places, and read good books.
