Marilyn Schlitz, PhD is a writer, laboratory and clinical scientist, social anthropologist, and acclaimed public speaker. She is President Emeritus of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, where she has worked for 20 years. She is also a Senior Scientist at the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute. She has been conducting research on consciousness for more than 30 years and has recently wrote and produced the documentary film, Death Makes Life Possible. She completed her training in psychology, behavioral and social science, and philosophy at Stanford University, University of Texas, San Antonio and Wayne State University, Detroit. She received her PhD in anthropology at the University of Texas, Austin. She has been featured in various writings, interviews, and videos.
