Michelle Lai

Michelle Lai, MD, MPH is a hepatologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, one of the top liver health centers in the country, and an assistant professor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. She takes care of patients with liver diseases and is working on clinical research in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Michelle has published articles on viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, liver transplantation, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and noninvasive evaluation of liver diseases. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Harvard University, and a medical degree and a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University. She completed her internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
