Jane S. Hirschi

Jane Hirschi, Executive Director of CitySprouts school garden program, founded CitySprouts in collaboration with teachers, school administrators, community members and other parents in 2001. Ms. Hirschi is known throughout the region as a vocal champion of school gardens, and in particular, the unique CitySprouts model integrating outdoor classroom gardens with public school education. Ms. Hirschi is an accomplished public speaker and writer, presenting to audiences as diverse as the business community, public school educators, parents, and children.
