Mike was born in Batavia Illinois grew up in a large family in southern California, later moved to Seattle where he met his wife Debbie Poulshock and thier talents for art blossomed. They raised their two sons while working and developing their art skills with natural materials and later began working in sculpture, painting and film making. Since Debbie and Mike have collaborated for many years on their nature art, it was only natural that they write their first book together. Thier second book Fairy Village comes out in October of 2017.
