Born and raised in Jamaica, Aeron Cargill is an imaginative sketch artist and digital artist who won the CXC award and a scholarship to UWI for the highest grade in 2D art in the Caribbean. He graduated in 2007 with a BA in Visual Arts. Among those who have collected his fine artwork is the Honorable Bruce Golding who acquired the portrait piece Roxanne Thought So, featured in the 2008 JCDC National Visual Art Competition. Aeron’s works have appeared on the cover of children's books, text books, novels, television ads, and more. Since moving to Florida in 2016, his clients include book publishers and companies such as Sagicor and Grey Advertising. He also self-published the book Jamaican Proverbs Illustrated in 2018. He is represented by Erin Murphy Literary Agency and became a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in 2020. Aeron’s illustrations are a playful blend of whimsical realism with a touch of nostalgia. His inspiration comes from classic colonial paintings, modern surrealism, and a desire to show people things they miss in this world or within themselves. * aeroncargill.com * Twitter: @aeroncargill * IG: @aeroncargillart
