Jeanne L. Prevost grew up in the city of Fall River Massachusetts with one younger brother and six younger sisters. She is the mother of three grown children. Jeanne teaches third grade at her hometown elementary school and is the author of three published children's picture books, and yet-to-be-published Freeing the Mindcuffs: A Mother and Son's True Journey with O.C.D. In her book, Quequechan: Forgotten River, the river speaks about its life and its wish to be appreciated again. Her other picture books, It's Raining Cats...and Cats! and It's Raining Pups and Dogs! published by The Gryphon Press, are the first two stories ever written for children about the subject of pet overpopulation and what can be done. Jeanne lives in an old neighborhood, in an old house surrounded by trees. She loves gardening, and grows vegetables, fruits, and flowers. Weekends usually find her hiking or bicycle riding. If there’s snow, she’ll most likely be skiing or snowshoeing in the woods. Her motto is: Give more than you take; do more than you need to; be kinder than you have to.
