John Fredrickson retired as a senior manager at Boeing in 2011 after 36 years of Company service. He has since been a volunteer two days per week at the Historical Archive and has devoted these hours to organizing the photographic collection of North American Aviation, Inc (NAA). Four years of active duty in the USAF as an aircrew life support specialist were followed by 17 years in the USAF Reserves as an aerial port specialist. John worked with B-52s, KC-135s, C-141s and then the E-3A AWACS and YC-14 experimental transport after joining Boeing Flight Test; however, most of his Boeing career was spent managing various finance functions to include disbursements, travel accounting, payroll, and timekeeping. He holds an MBA with emphasis in accounting and was adjunct (part time) faculty at Highline Community College for 23 years. Service at U-Tapao Airfield, Thailand from 1972-1973 qualifies John as a Vietnam War veteran. He is an active member of Kent American Legion Post 15. Note: The book signing at Barnes & Noble South Center store has been rescheduled to February 21. Apparently "Warbird Factory" sold out and they are awaiting a second press run.
