"Monster Case," was an Honor Roll story in Best Mystery Stories of the Year 2024. "Finch" was a Distinguished Story in Best American Mystery Stories 2020 and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. THE MONEY, my debut novel, was Best Thrillers Book of the Year 2021. Critics compared THE MONEY to the works of Walter Mosely, Raymond Chandler, the movie Chinatown, and Better Call Saul. AND THE DEAD SHALL LIVE, my follow-up thriller, is the recipient of a Bronze Medal from the Readers' Choice Awards. SHERLOCK MENDELSON AND THE MISSING AFIKOMEN, a children's picture book about Passover, is collected in the National Library of Israel. Essays and short stories have appeared in Film Comment; Columbia, A Journal of Literature and Art; New York Stories; Runner's Gazette; Art-Mag; Lowestoft Chronicle, Pembroke Review, among others. A short story is anthologized in INTREPID TRAVELERS, and an essay is anthologized in A PLACE TO PAUSE. I've been honored and thrilled to have taught my short stories at HOSTOS College and NYC high schools for The Hudson Review's Writers In The Schools program.
