Barbara Kerwin has taught Fine Art in colleges and universities in the Los Angeles area since 1990. She is currently a tenured Professor of Art at Los Angeles Mission College, where she has supervised Art for a decade and served the Los Angeles Community College District's nine colleges as the District Arts Chair for several years. Kerwin holds an MFA from the Claremont Graduate University, where she received awards and fellowships. She has exhibited her paintings in over 100 gallery and museum exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad, and is collected widely. Kerwin has been reviewed in many publications and is included in several books on contemporary art. In 2012, she received a Los Angeles Artist Cultural Innovation Grant for the survey of her paintings, Geometric Progressions.
