Welcome to my author page, home of the "Ergo sum" series of books, my attempt to try a new strategy in the battleground of climate change, of the novel "Error in translation", and of "The Sun. a very short introduction" published by Oxford University press. As a scientist writing fiction, I try to offer new food for thought. The Ergo trilogy is a work of adventure, reflection and hope in a world threatened by denialists. "Error in translation", takes a satirical look at twenty-first-century life. The narrative follows a damaged young woman's re-birth into an undiscovered country, her life and the lives of an ancient people. In telling her ultimately triumphant and, at times, darkly humorous story, "error" contrasts modern life with its technology, unintended consequences and hidden dangers, with a simpler life in harmony with the world. It was released in 2019. A new book, "The Sun", publlshed by Oxford University Press in their popular Very Short Introduction series, will also be available as an AudioBook! I like to think of myself as chasing windmills in the modern world, which occasionally might turn out, indeed, to be giants. I live in Longmont, Colorado with my lovely wife Terri. I am a father, cancer survivor, amateur astronomer, part-time opera singer, fisherman, as well as a "comedian". During the daytime, I am a solar and climate Scientist. My motivation in research is in encouraging and training young talent. I have been fortunate to be a mentor for some outstanding scientists. P. Gordon Judge
