Emily Churchill Wood

Emily Wood, National Award Winning Social Studies teacher, writes a compelling, romantic and heartfelt memoir of her life with Phil Wood spanning the changing history, lifestyles, and economics of the years between 1941 and his death in 2013. Born in the mid 1920s in New Jersey, the couple’s odyssey progresses through several states ending with 42 years appreciating Tulsa, Oklahoma. Among the many experiences the couple shared were numerous international school visits around the world which impacted Tulsa schools and education. She also writes of corporate America, political campaigns and service as well as their family of four children, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
