Alison G. Dover

Alison G. Dover is a Professor in the Department of Secondary Education at California State University, Fullerton. A former urban secondary English Language Arts teacher, Alison’s scholarship examines approaches to teaching for social justice within and despite accountability-driven P–12 and teacher preparatory contexts. When she’s not teaching or chasing after her spitfire daughters, Alison spends her time writing. Her work has been published in a wide range of academic journals, including Urban Education, Teaching & Teacher Education, English Journal, The Educational Forum, Teachers College Record, the Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Equity & Excellence in Education, and Multicultural Perspectives.
