Bill Bonney

Bill Bonney, Cybersecurity Practitioner, and Author. As a co-author of the CISO Desk Reference Guide, I am currently engaged in a long-term project to bring the ideas we've presented in our books to the growing ranks of CISOs, seasoned, newly hired, or aspiring to the role. I am truly fortunate to work with my friends and co-authors Gary Hayslip and Matt Stamper. I am currently serving as the President of CISO DRG, Inc., publisher of the CISO Desk Reference Guide and other practical guides for information security executives written by practitioners. Prior to CISO DRG, I was Vice President of Product Marketing and Chief Strategist at FHOOSH (now UBIQ), a maker of high-speed encryption software. Prior to FHOOSH, I was the Director of Information Security and Compliance at Intuit, and then Vice President of Product Marketing and a Principal Consulting Analyst at TechVision Research. I hold several patents in data protection, access, and classification and was a founding member of the board of directors for the San Diego CISO Roundtable, a professional group focused on building relationships and fostering collaboration in information security management. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Albany University.
