Shelley Story

Shelley Story has spent two decades helping college students to overcome challenges and seize opportunities. After completing a master's degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education at the University of Georgia, she has held positions in residence life and dean's offices. A certified professional coach, she loves a creative question. For nine years, Shelley developed and managed the student life division of a study abroad institute in Florence, Italy, where she created programs to help students thrive. She also waged war on bedbugs, listened intently, and offered homemade treats and free hugs. She traveled about 800 days in those nine years, with student groups as small as 12 and as large as 195, to 24 countries on three continents. She can give you a walking tour of several European cities without a map, but still has a hard time packing in just a carry-on. Shelley lives in Austin, Texas. When she's not coaching, writing, or traveling to speak to college students, you'll find her with a crochet hook, paintbrush, or cookie cutter in her hands.
