My name is John Warner, and with over 25 years of industry experience in the automotive industry and in the lithium-ion battery industry I decided to put my experience to good use in my new book "The Handbook of Lithium-Ion Battery Pack Design". For the majority of my career I have worked in and around engineering organizations in various functions from planning and program management to product management, sales and marketing. I currently serve on several industry organizations including the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Battery Size Standardization committee and the NAATBatt International Battery Bus Safety committees.

With the successful launch of my book Amazon author website "The Handbook of Lithium-ion Battery Pack Design" last year I am following it up by launching this website! I wanted to combine my passion for learning, education and leadership with my passion to make a positive change in our world by helping industries to move towards cleaner, more renewable energy sources by integrating more efficient energy storage solutions - better known as batteries - across the globe.

And with the incredible growth that the lithium-ion battery industry has experienced over the past few years, even with a couple of ups and downs, there continues to be many experienced people coming from other industries into the battery field. In fact when I first started in the battery industry I bought every book I could find to help and educate myself, but just wasn't able to find anything that gave me the tools I needed to learn to be successful in the industry. My book and this site are intended to help break some of the barriers to entry and provide some of the basic information that you will need as the industry evolves.
