Dr. Rachelle Dené Poth is a Spanish and STEAM Emerging Technology Teacher. Rachelle is also an attorney with a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law and a Doctorate in Instructional Technology. Rachelle's doctoral research focus was on AI and Professional Development. In addition to teaching, she is a full-time consultant and works with companies and organizations to provide PD, speaking, and consulting services.

Rachelle is an ISTE-certified educator and community leader and served as president of the ISTE Teacher Education Network. She was named the EdTech Trendsetter of 2024 by EdTech Digest, One of 30 K-12 IT Influencers to follow in 2021, and one of 150 Women Global EdTech Thought Leaders in 2022. Rachelle has written nine books and regularly blogs for Defined Learning, Edutopia and Getting Smart.

Rachelle is the author of nine books including: In Other Words: Quotes That Push Our Thinking, The Future is Now: Looking Back to Move Ahead, Unconventional Ways to Thrive in Edu, Chart a New Course: A Guide To Teaching Essential Skills for Tomorrow's World, True Story Lessons That One Kid Taught Us is a great read for educators and includes stories from 38 educators around the world. Rachelle published a World Language Educator book, Your World Language Classroom: Strategies for In-person and Digital Instruction in 2019. Since then, she has published three additional books: Things I Wish [...] Knew (December 2021) with 50 educator vignettes, Are We Ready For The Future (2023), and her latest, How to Teach AI: Weaving Strategies and Activities Into Any Content Area, available July 2024.

She is also a contributing author to nine other books, including Growing Your Why, Educational Rehab (2022), Joy Work, Education, Write Now, Volume 3, EduMatch Snapshot in Education 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and Gamify Literacy, an ISTE publication. Rachelle blogs for Defined Learning Edutopia, Getting Smart, and NEO LMS. She hosts the Formativechat on Mondays and maintains her “Learning as I Go” blog site. She has a THRIVEinEDU Facebook Community.
