Author, food lover and recipe creator, Tricia Cohen grew up in the small New England town of Plainville, Massachusetts. Her community was one where neighbors were considered as family. Love, laughter and fresh homemade meals were never in short supply. Her family’s house had two kitchens. It was the only way her mother and grandmother could keep their galleys humming while creating amazing recipes together. Everyone who visited knew they would find good conversation combined with tasty offerings that were made using organic produce harvested by her grandfather from the family garden. Tricia continues to share the love of family and food as a gourmet cook and a skilled hostess. The traditions she cherishes from her childhood in Plainville are alive and well when Tricia lights the oven in the home she shares with her husband and ‘family’. Tricia combines her passion for food and history in a most creative way, she has authored three historical cookbooks; Unofficial Poldark Cookbook, A Thyme and Place, Medieval Feasts and Recipes for the Modern Table and A Thyme to Discover, Early Recipes for the Modern Table. She also publishes a food history blog at www.thymemachinecuisine.com. Tricia and her husband Michael live with their four rescue dogs on outer Cape Cod in North Truro, Massachusetts.
