Rosefiend Cordell

I've worked as a municipal horticulturist, greenhouse manager, perennials factotum, landscaper designer, and a certified master naturalist through her career, and ran a public rose garden with over 300 roses (mostly antique roses). Now I write books (it's easier on the back) about what I've learned through the years. The maple that I'm posing with in my author photo is one I planted in the parks system in the late 1990s. I'm finding the best, low-maintenance ways to garden, while finding new, ecologically-friendly ways to improve your landscape and grow vegetables, fruits, and nuts in your backyard. All this with a minimum of weeding! Because I am no fan of weeding. Rosefiend Cordell is my gardening book pen name; I write epic fantasy with dragons under my real name, Melinda R. Cordell.
