Debbie Parker Wayne is a board-certified genealogist (CG*) and genealogical lecturer (CGL*) experienced using DNA analysis and traditional techniques for genealogical research. She is the author of the online, self-paced course "Continuing Genealogical Studies: Autosomal DNA," offered by the U.S. National Genealogical Society (NGS). She is the DNA Project Chair for the Texas State Genealogical Society. Her publications include a column on using DNA analysis for genealogical research in NGS Magazine.
Debbie develops and teaches genetic genealogy workshops, seminars, and courses at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR) and the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy's Forensic Genealogy Institute (CAFG FGI), formerly teaching courses at Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG) and Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP). Prior to becoming a full-time genealogist, Debbie was a software engineer working primarily on UNIX-based systems.
