Marina Gallero López (MSc(Eng), BSc(Psych) Marina's first book Switch from PC to Mac is an easy to follow and straight to the point guide for anyone moving to Mac. Many of the technology books currently available are long manuals with very detailed information much of which is not relevant for the end user. These types of books are not ideal for a new user to learn how to use a new system. Marina's book provides new Mac users with a quick guide that covers the key concepts required to start using the new system and all its main features. Not only is it a concise guide that a new user can run through in a few hours but it also includes access to a number of videos that cover most of the material in the book and show the user how each feature or configuration works. The book is based on her experience writing step by step guides for tools used in the Telecom industry and on her experience when she switched from PC to Mac a few years ago. The information included in the book provides an overview of the MacOS environment as well as details about key features and more advanced options and programs that she has found useful.
