Charisse Ward

I am an interventional cardiologist in private practice. After finishing medical school at Boston University, I served as a United States Naval Officer for 5 years. I completed Internal Medicine Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. I also have fellowship training in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease, advanced heart failure, heart transplant medicine, and mechanical circulatory support from Yale New Haven Hospital. I am board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, and Endovascular Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive, compassionate cardiovascular care, I enjoy developing medical apps for Android and iOS platforms and writing articles and books for patients. My goal in doing this is to demystify cardiovascular disease and educate and empower patients and families so that they can make well-informed decisions about their own care.
