BIOGRAPHY FOR ANN MARIE HANNON I have written poetry most of my life, and published several books, both fiction and nonfiction. Right now, my efforts are directed toward a narrative story “All About a Boy Who Was Afraid of the Dark (And How He Got Over It). However, I will soon be issuing a new rhyming story titled “A Going Home Surprise” which offers an interesting turn of events. My mother wrote poetry also, and I co-authored a story with her many years ago, that is now published as “Puffy and the Formidable Foe”, the first in a series called Little Kitten Books. I will always be proud of the fact that when Mom was alive, our local town newspaper would always look forward to her latest poems to publish in observance of many holidays and home-town events. Most of my poems are dedicated to my Mom, and to the memory of Emily Dickenson who like my Mom, wrote poems using words that we can still discover and repeat again and again. Those words always sustain me, and offer a wondrous and magical sense of emotion and an important and pleasant lyrical resonance. I hope that you are able to resonate with my efforts at poetry and narrative story-telling as well.
