China Clipper was originally published in 1981 by Everest in the US and by Mainichi News in Japan to extraordinary reviews around the world. At the time the book was considered by virtually every Hollywood Studio as a feature film. More about that in a moment. It recently occurred to me that there's no reason for a good history book to ever die, after all they remain vibrant throughout the years. Hence the re-publication... China Clipper uniquely explores the last flight of the Hawaii Clipper in 1938 which vanished as a semi fictional recreation. The book also explores the beginnings of World War II and how Pan American Airways was secretly used by the US government to fortify the Pacific for the inevitable war against Japan. It was no mistake that Japan not only attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th but all of Pan Am's bases across the Pacific at the same time. I have recently written a script based on China Clipper which is being circulated to Hollywood studios. I'm a life-long publisher, writer, author and script writer, and a graduate of American University in Washington, DC. I'm also the author of many nationally published magazine articles. I was Marketing Manager for Impact Publishing and Vice President of Marketing at Target Publishing distributors of important investment publications. In 1991, I opened my own financial publishing company and have continued to publish a variety of financial newsletters. I also wrote and produced the feature films 5 Hour Friends starring Tom Sizemore and $elfie Shootout both are available on Amazon.
