Andrea Hart was born in Adelaide, South Australia and spent 2 stints living n Melbourne. Andrea's passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine was born of the aftermath of a caesarian section with her first child in 1993. Her first major encounter with acupuncture was with her lecturer, Jim Hoberg who used acupuncture to heal the pain and disconnection in her lumbar spine. She spent years studying TCM as a solo Mum focussing on women's health, hormone balancing, conception and pregnancy and recovery for the mother post birth as well as labour itself. Her commitment to men's health came about from clinical experience and hearing the stories of her patients and the world of pain within which people find themselves with a difficult or seemingly impossible fertility diagnosis.
Andrea's practice is in Adelaide/ South Australia and she travels the world treating women, for conception issues, post birth issues, and also men for fertility and general health. She runs retreats in South Australia where couples relax and are given acupuncture treatment amongst other beautiful therapies to help them develop their physical and emotional health to optimum levels for conception. Her local practice is a general practice with a broad range of conditions treated. Her special interest is in fertility.
Andrea was proud to be part of the clinical trial run by the University of Western Sydney over 4 years in both Australia and New Zealand exploring the role of acupuncture in creating successful live births during the IVF process.
