Adam Brown was diagnosed with diabetes in 2001. His first book, Bright Spots & Landmines: The Diabetes Guide I Wish Someone Had Handed Me, was published in 2017. To date, over 300,000 copies have been sold/downloaded, with reader access at the center of the book's distribution. Adam served as Senior Editor and columnist at diaTribe.org and Head of Diabetes Technology & Digital Health at Close Concerns through 2019. He currently writes at helloadam.org. Adam graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2011, where he was a Joseph Wharton and Benjamin Franklin Scholar. He will complete a master's degree in counseling psychology from The Wright Institute in 2021.
