I'm Charlie de Luca. I work in Higher Education but my first love is horses and racing. My father was a permit holder and trained National Hunt horses. I managed to travel to every racecourse in England before the age of 10! I live in the country with some hens, sheep, dogs, and loads of horses, including some retired racehorses. I am the author of Rank Outsiders, The Gift Horse, Twelve in the Sixth, Making Allowances, Hoodwinked, and a more mainstream thriller, Dark Minster. I am working on a new book, another racing thriller called 'Fall From Grace' which should be out in spring 2021. I love my job as I like working with young people as I believe that education can change lives. I was inspired to write my books because of my love of horses and early life experiences.
