Hello! Welcome to my author page on Amazon. I’m honored by your visit. If you’re interested in one of my books, I hope my descriptions of them sufficiently summarize their content. If not, please contact me with any questions or observations. Here’s a little personal information . . . I’ve served the Christian community for over four decades as a pastor, educator, and consultant. I thrive on being in the classroom with students, and have been privileged to teach at the graduate, undergraduate, and college-preparatory levels, but biblical exposition is my "first love." My primary academic focus is theology, but I’m classified as an interdisciplinarian, with competing interests in the history of ideas and comparative literature. Philosophically, I’ve been influenced by Plato, Kant, Kierkegaard, et al. Literarily, my primary mentors are the Delta Blues, Robert Zimmerman, the Romantics, and the KJV Bible. Theologically, my greatest human guides have been Charles Spurgeon, A. W. Pink, B. B. Warfield, and my father. My favorite book is the Greek New Testament. My hobbies are guitar, composing, fishing, and tennis. I reside in Texas. My sons Matt and Trey live in Montana. Again, thanks for dropping by and, if you pick up one of my books, I hope you’ll write a (favorable) review. Grace and Peace, hb OTHER INFORMATION . . .
