Fred Abrams is a retired USAF fighter pilot (148 fighter missions in the F-100 in VietNam plus service in England) and program manager (F-15 Program Office) who works as a consultant and trainer in project management. While in England he met and married an Air Force nurse and they raised two children. His wife of 33 years died and he was re-married to a widow he met in Hospice Grief Support counseling. Together they wrote the only grief support book on Amazon by an ordinary widow/widower couple - Thanks For The Dance - Transforming Grief into Gratitude when your spouse dies. They are both avid supporters of adopting rescue dogs and have written two children's books (Rusty-The Little Red Dog and Pogo-The Puppy Mill Dog) to encourage young people to adopt rather than buy their dogs. All royalties from the two books go to Carolina Poodle Rescue where they adopted both of their cock-a-poos.
