Diana Whitney writes across the genres in Vermont with a focus on feminism, motherhood, and sexuality. She is the bestselling editor of YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE EVERYTHING: Poems for Girls Becoming Themselves, winner of the 2022 Claudia Lewis Award. Her first book, WANTING IT, became an indie bestseller and won the Rubery Book Award in poetry. She was the longtime poetry critic for the San Francisco Chronicle, where she featured women and LGBTQ+ voices in her column. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Kenyon Review, Glamour, and many more.

Diana has a Masters in English Literature from Oxford University and is currently finishing her MFA in poetry at New England College. A feminist activist in her hometown and beyond, Diana is an advocate for survivors of sexual violence. She works as an editor and writing coach.
