Yvette Benavidez Garcia

Yvette Benavidez Garcia was born in Fort Riley, Kansas. She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (hook 'em horns) and currently lives in Texas with her husband, Ren, who is a graduate of her rival school Texas A&M University. Yes, they are a house divided. They have two children, a dog, and five chickens (Napoleon, Pedro, Kip, Lafawnduh and Deb). Yvette writes stories based on real life experiences. Her dad, Medal of Honor Recipient Roy P. Benavidez, is a great source of information for most of her pieces, as well as her children. When she can sneak away for a moment, Yvette loves to garden, swim, watch movies, travel and practice Yoga (Namaste).
