When I was 3 years old, I went skiing for the first time in my home state of Colorado. My dad promised me that once the lesson was over, he'd take a run with me, too. A snowstorm raged in that afternoon, however, so my dad assumed I was probably done for the day. While the other kids played inside, however, I was outside on the deck, in the teeth of the storm, waiting to take another run. So yeah, I love skiing and always have. After a ski racing and big mountain career, I was the 4th person to ski all of Colorado's 14ers, and my wife (and co-author) was the 2nd woman to do so. We tried hard to pick routes from every corner of Colorado's mountains, and we hope that our readers will have as much fun skiing the routes as we did.
