Cathy Staton brings with her over 20 years of leadership development experience. Cathy is an author, Christian counselor, motivational speaker, philanthropist, and life coach. Managing a successful nonprofit and teaching cutting edge life skill strategies join uncompromising integrity as the hallmarks of Cathy’s service. As an author and speaker, Cathy has a passion to tell her story and share the tools she used to not only survive, but thrive. A self-published author and more importantly a “survivor” who provides messages of hope, inspiration, humor and encourages people to find their voice and use life’s stumbling blocks to rebuild their own lives. She is the CEO and founder of MyHelpMyHope Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization that assists women and children in crisis situations. She is the CEO of Dorcas, LLC., that provides affordable life-coaching to those who want to reach their maximum potential. Through one-on -one coaching, group coaching and custom presentations, she uses proven techniques to help people find fulfillment in their lives while doing what they love. Cathy is the recipient of the Wavy TV Channel 10 Who Care Award, the ZETA Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Finer Woman Award, Hampton Roads Gazeti Exemplar Award, ACHI Magazine Woman of the year Award, and the Garden of Hope Unity Award from Gethsemane Community Fellowship Church, among others. Cathy’s work has been featured on many television stations such as Tribune Media and Media General, and the Dr. Oz Show. Cathy has also been featured in publications such as the Virginia Pilot, and the New Journal and Guide, the Gazeti, and Tidewater Women, to name a few. The MyHelpMyHope Foundation was recently selected as a change maker by the White House, Michelle Obama, and Oprah Winfrey. During her matriculation Catherine has earned an AS in Psychology, BS in Christian Counseling, BS in Life Coaching & BS in Addiction & Recovery from Liberty University.
