Paul R. Shockley Ph.D.

Paul R. Shockley is an Assistant Professor in Languages, Cultures, and Philosophy at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He is primarily involved in Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Philosophy. He also serves as a lecturer in Religious Studies at The University of Miami. B.A., History, Stephen F. Austin State University; Th.M, Dallas Theological Seminary; M.A. Humanities - History of Ideas, the University of Texas-Dallas; Ph.D. Philosophy, Texas A&M University (College Station, Texas). Paul also served in the United States Naval Reserves & received an honorable discharge. Paul's areas of interest include Aesthetics, Art History, Bioethics, Environmental Ethics, History of Philosophy, Moral Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Social Theory, and Religious Studies. He's a beekeeper, gardener, and scuba diver. He frequently visits and participates in tours of Israel and other significant cultural, geographical, historical, and religious sites in the Middle East.
