Chris Pountney

Chris Pountney is a self-described "adventurer and author".

I began describing myself this way because it sounded better than admitting to being an unemployed homeless man who really liked riding my bike around. I did exactly that for ten years, in more than 80 countries, and one day, when I was bored, I decided to write about it.

I may have finally stopped sleeping in ditches, but I still have many further adventures planned, including a 1900km non-stop bike race around the Netherlands, which, come to think about it, will probably involve sleeping in ditches.
