My amateur radio test prep books have a long heritage. I remember taking the Virginia bar exam many years ago. Part of the exam was 8 hours of multiple-choice questions. By the end of the day (actually much sooner), I was completely confused because I had seen so many "wrong" answers that they started to blend in with the "right" answers. Fast forward to studying for amateur radio tests. Unlike the bar, we know the questions and answers ahead of time but, going over the material left the same confusion - three wrong answers for every one correct answer. All the available study material included the wrong answers. What if I wrote a study guide focusing on the right answers with explanations? How about I throw in some memory tricks to help retain the information? I was teaching a Technician license class and used this approach. The students loved it. They said it made learning much easier. Thus was born the "Easy Way Ham Books" series.
