Well, here I am, a published author! What an exciting decade my 50's have been so far. To begin, I live in the small town of Odessa, Missouri and recently retired as the Director of Curriculum and Federal Programs for our town's school district. I have worked in education for my whole career of 36 years. I currently teach as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Missouri. I am married to a wonderful man and have three adult sons. We live on 10 acres, have two dogs, and raise some beautiful chickens for farm-fresh eggs. After my youngest son went off to college, I felt my life had lost direction. I decided to return to school myself and completed my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. I also hired a personal trainer and, through diet and exercise, lost 100 pounds. I have since maintained that weight loss. Yep, another big challenge. That trainer is the collaborator of my book "Tips for Losing 100 Pounds By Someone Who Actually Did." I just recently published my second book “Empty Nester…I Think Not!”, a logical follow-up to “Tips For Losing… “ Therein lies my passion. Living and writing.
