Peter C. Atherton is a talented and accomplished consultant, speaker, independent researcher, podcast host, and author with over 30 years of experience as a successful professional engineer, executive, and business owner. Pete currently serves as the President and Founder of ActionsProve, LLC. ActionsProve works with leaders and organizations nationwide to grow and advance their success through new-era-focused strategic firm design and planning, next-level leadership development, and outside board advisory.
From the beginning of his career, and for more than two decades, Pete has demonstrated that he is a high achiever, gaining professional success and standing on an accelerated path. Pete is a highly skilled and accomplished professional engineer (designing sophisticated public infrastructure and water treatment systems) and was a senior executive, a major firm owner, and member of his firm’s Board of Directors.
In what became a “parallel life” alongside his work, Pete has co-led over 20 international service teams, the design and construction of numerous essential infrastructure projects, the development of a social enterprise farm business, and the development of university-earning educational programs. Pete has also co-founded two chapters of 100 Men Who Care.
In his 40s, and at what would be considered the peak of his career, Pete designed and initiated a multi-year exit strategy to pivot toward a life with greater meaning and purpose. Pete founded ActionsProve to converge his love for business, people, problem solving, and systems design to help individuals and organizational leaders achieve greater results and also have greater impact and significance.
Pete has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, holds an Executive Certificate in Transformational Nonprofit Leadership, and has completed other engineering, management, and entrepreneurial coursework. Pete is also an avid self-learner, regularly speaking at and attending conferences, and leads dozens of next-level conversations each month with leaders as part of his executive mastermind groups.
