关于作者

Byron Roberts is an author of pulp sword and sorcery stories and also the vocalist, lyricist and founder of the UK extreme metal band Bal-Sagoth. An English Literature graduate, Roberts conceived Bal-Sagoth as a symphonic black metal project built upon an elaborate fantasy and sci-fi oriented lyrical concept, inspired by the novels, short stories, comics and movies he grew up with, particularly the classic pulp stories of Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft. The lyrical mythos of his Bal-Sagoth universe goes far beyond the band’s six album discography, also encompassing novellas and short stories. Byron's published works thus far include The Caleb Blackthorne Trilogy of novelettes appearing in volumes I to III of the fantasy anthology series "Swords of Steel" (DMR Books), the novel "The Chronicles of Caylen-Tor" (DMR Books), the short story "Chronicles of the Obsidian Crown" appearing in the anthology "Barbarian Crowns" (Barbwire Butterfly Books/Horrified Press), the short story "Darkfall: Return of the Vampyre Hunter" in the anthology volume "Devil's Armory" (Barbwire Butterfly Books/Horrified Press) and also prose and poetry pieces appearing in the fantasy anthology publications "Dreams of Fire and Steel" (Nocturnicorn Books) and "Beyond the Cosmic Veil" (Horrified Press). Byron Roberts was also featured in the 50th anniversary issue of "The Jack Kirby Collector" as one of a number of creators influenced by the enduring legacy of Jack Kirby. In addition to his musical and literary pursuits, Byron has long been involved in historical battle re-enactment societies and is proficient with a variety of medieval and Dark Age weapons.
