关于作者

The award winning author, David L. Rose goofed off his first year of college and was subsequently drafted into the US Army to serve in the Vietnam War. He chose to not carry a weapon so he served as a conscientious objector and became a combat trauma medic. After the war, Mr. Rose was diagnosed by the Veterans Administration (VA) with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He chose to not use drugs, alcohol, gambling and other vices to cope with his condition. He chose busyness and writing as a coping tool. Over the decades, Mr. Rose has written about twenty-five books from word puzzles, to how-to books and most recently he has written poetic military books. When Mr. Rose began VA therapy, he started a daily journal of his thoughts and feelings during the stressful counseling sessions. The journaling soon evolved into poetry. One day the author realized, "Wow, I have 200 of these poems now." A book titled: "Some Wounds Don't Bleed" was born. The book is a poetic account of the authors thoughts and feelings during his 300+ hours of counseling therapy for his post war PTSD. In 2017, this book "Some Wounds Don't Bleed" won the Mary Karon Humanitarian Award from the International Society of Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry. His book "From Pen to Paper" is used by Psychologists as a writing therapy training tool. Today Mr. Rose is on a mission to help his wartime brothers and sisters by mentoring war veterans, public speaking and teaching journaling and writing workshops to war veterans. Writing has been successful in helping the author to cope with his post war complications, he wants to help others do the same. Mr. Rose has been inducted into the Florida Veterans' Hall of Fame for his writings and his service to struggling post-war veterans. He has been inducted into the Military Medic Hall of Fame and has been awarded the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Rose has been adopted by the Sioux Nation and given the name "EaglesWing" which means "High Flying Messenger".
