I am an Assistant Professor of Sociology at McGill University. I am a comparative historical sociologist interested in the study of class, politics, social movements, and institutional change. My research has been published in the American Sociological Review, Politics & Society, Sociology Compass, and Labor History, among other venues. I also comment regularly in various media outlets on labor politics and policy. Prior to becoming a sociologist, I spent several years working as a union organizer in the US and Canada.
